Glee App

Glee App

Whether you are a fan of the show Glee or not, this is a cool mobile app to have for you iPhone or iPad.  It is a virtual karaoke with a twist. With regular karaoke your real voice is how you sound. With the Glee App it corrects the pitch of your voice to actually sound like one of the cast members of Glee. That’s right! You can sound like Rachel or Mercedes. Puck or Tina. Or any of the cast of Glee.

You can also set the app to acapella mode or a three part harmony mode. And of course in this social networking world we live in now, the Glee App lets you connect with other Glee fans from around the world. A world globe lets you see who is connecting and from what part of the world. And of course you can share your singing efforts on Facebook and Myspace. You also get the chance to have people award you gold stars or Gleeks. And you can invite friends to start your own glee club.

Head over to the App Store now and pick up the Glee App by Smule for only 99 cents. But be warned! It’s addictive.

Gunman For iPhone

Author: Apps Junkie  //  Category: Games, Mobile Apps

Gunman For iPhone is a free mobile app that is off the hook. I’m not one for games much but this can be very fun for you and a friend who also has an iPhone. Basically you pick the color shirt or whatever your friend is wearing, aim, shoot and fire. If you hit your opponent it takes a picture. If you miss you get to cock your gun again. And it sounds like you really do too. Check out the video below and also check out the official Gunman For iPhone Site.

I don’t usually pay for apps, let alone one that costs 70 bucks, but the Navigon Mobile Navigator is worth every penny. And I get no money for saying that or recommending this mobile app. Read more…

So you were excited about that new iPhone 3G you got from the Apple Store or AT&T. You love everything about it except that it doesn’t have video recording capabilities. A few months down the road Apple releases the iPhone 3GS which features video recording. For $99 more that is really the only difference between the two phones. The 3GS has more storage. Read more…

Shazam

Shazam

For iPhone users, you can disregard this post. Shazam ships with it installed. This is by far one of the best mobile apps ever created. Have you ever been in your car and wanted to know what song was playing on the radio? It could be a dusty oldie or the latest Dirty South rap song. Then what happens? The announcer doesn’t tell you what it was. Well you don’t need that announcer anymore. When you press tag on your Shazam app it listens to whatever song is playing for about 15 seconds, analyzes it for about 10 seconds, then it tells you what song is playing. That’s right. In less than 60 seconds you can identify a song. Read more…

ShopSavvy

Author: Apps Junkie  //  Category: Mobile Apps

ShopSavvy is a kool mobile app. It is a free download (for now). Basically you use your camera’s phone to scan the barcode of any item in a store. Once scanned in a few seconds ShopSavvy lists you a bunch of other places that carry the item you scanned. It will give you the prices as well. So right away you know if the price you see can be beat somewhere else. How kool is that? It can also list customer reviews of the particular item you want. I used it on my iPhone and the only drawback seemed to be that some barcodes couldn’t be read. That may have been due to me learning how to scan better. I still give the app an 8 out of 10, so if your phone can download it, I recommend it. Enjoy.
